Project Overview

The Year of the Arts is a 2022-2023 initiative by The York University School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD) to showcase the diverse world of art and design through events, exhibitions, and more. This project is aimed at representing the diverse community of art and design at AMPD, through creating a brand identity to reflect unique identity of YOTA while reflecting the branding of York University and AMPD.

The Logo

The logo is composed of lines and circles and a quadrant system to create four geometric shapes that spell out the four letters of YOTA. Each of the letters can then be used to create a pattern. This allows for the variety of shapes and patterns that can be used in various print and digital applications.

Social Media Marketing

To generate a wider outreach to potential audiences, I developed a series of social media posts and animated graphics, that were on-brand with the Year of the Arts branding, yet captured the attention of potential event visitors and generate website visits and traffic.
